Technology: Intel to invest heavily in Vietnam

Vietnam News Agency, reports that Intel Corporation of the US has been licensed to invest $605 million Ho Chi Minh City's Hi-tech Park. It is the US largest project so far in Vietnam.

The license was handed over to the investor in HCM City on Feb. 28 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and US Ambassador to Viet Nam Michael Marine.

Intel Corporation announced it will invest $300 million build a semiconductor assembly and test facility in the city, the first of its kind in Viet Nam and the seventh and latest facility of Intel's global network of assembly and test facilities.
