Agriculture: Argentina may extend beef ban to one year

Argentina's Economy Minister Felisa Miceli, has told the state news agency Telam, that the government could extend to one year its six-month ban on beef exports if local beef prices don't continue to decline.

Last week, Miceli said the government would ban 95% of Argentina's beef exports for 180 days to prevent rising foreign demand from pushing local prices beyond the reach of average Argentinians.
