My posts often include good old Aussie words such as "bloody" "bugger" or "wanker" and I don't see people turning away in droves because of my language. My content does that anyway!
Many of my US clients, friends and even my American fiancee, have picked up these and other words, and use them without so much as batting an eye lid. I admit, I have yet to hear any of them cry, "Remember the bloody Alamo" or sing "America You Bloody Beauty" but the constant exposure has grabbed their attention!
I wonder what Britain's Advertising Standards Authority, would make of an advert I saw on the back of a bus. I have no idea what the ad was about, but the tag-line was, "Bugger the gym". And that was on a state transit bus being used on the school run!
