Human Resources: Malaysian Home Affairs Minister accuses Bangladeshi workers of causing "social problems"

AFP, reports that Malaysia has accused Bangladeshis of sneaking into the country as students to work illegally, saying their circumstances are "fishy" and the cause of social problems.

Home Affairs Minister Radzi Sheikh Ahmad said of Bangladesh workers, "They have blue eyes and look like Indian film actors and they create social problems here." Malaysia imposed a ban on their employment two years ago over such concerns.

Malaysia is one of Asia's largest importers of foreign unskilled labour.
