In an interview with the Sunday Mail, Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Ajit Kumar, said that his country has trained 350 professionals from Zimbabwe in the last two decades under a program of its Ministry of External Affairs, aimed at developing technical and technological competency in the southern African country.
The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program was started in 1964 and it was extended to Zimbabwe in 1985.
Kumar said India had extended more than $2 billion to developing countries and will continue to support Zimbabwe for technological development in the country.
