Syria's Foreign Minister Walid al-Muaallem, has met with Cypriot Foreign Minister George Iacovou, and his Cuban counterpart Felipe Perz Roque, for talks on the latest developments in the region, mainly in Iraq and Palestine.The Cuban Minister conveyed greetings of President Fidel Castro, to President Bashar al-Assad, and asserted Cuba's support to Syria's "just stances". He also praised Syria's effective role in the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM).
