Multiculturalism: Muslim women in Netherlands can refuse to shake hands with men

The Dutch Commission for Equal Treatment, has declared that a school was wrong to bar a Muslim woman from its classes for refusing to shake hands with men. The woman refused to shake hands with men because she said Islam forbids physical contact with men above the age of 12.

The adult education centre in the Dutch central town of Amersfoort rejected the woman's application to study to become an education assistant, saying handshaking was part of daily education.

Oh, so now you can get a Masters Degree in Handshaking - how wonderful.
The Commission concluded that handshaking at schools was not necessary as there were other ways of greeting men.

Exactly, that is why we in Australia, slap each other on the shoulder and ask,"How ya going ya old bastard".
