Senior Citizens: Japan donates $90,000 to help Bangladeshi elderly

Japan has donated $90,141 to the Bangladesh Association for the Aged and Institute of Geriatric Medicine (BAAIGM). The money will be used to provide healthcare and welfare services to the elderly.

The objectives of this project are to modernise the hospital with latest medical equipment, so that better diagnosis and treatment can be possible for elder patients.

In Bangladesh, 122 projects covering 102 NGOs have received grants amounting to $7.9 million under Japan's scheme.
