China is to build its first Women and Children Museum in a bid to boost gender equality and childhood development in the country.Vice president of the All-China Women's Federation Huang Qingyi, said "The museum will contribute towards carrying forward China's fine national culture."
The museum is expected to be open to visitors in 2008, when Beijing will host the Olympic Games.
