Aerospace: Russian rocket launches Israelis satellite

Interfax news agency reports that a light Start-1 rocket carrying an Israeli satellite called Eros-B was launched from Russia's Svobodny space center in the Amur region at 8:47 p.m. Moscow time Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Russian Space Forces Alexei Kuznetsov, said: "The launch was handled by Space Forces units. In the first two minutes of the flight, the rocket was guided by the space center's control services. Afterwards, the main center of the Space Forces took control of the rocket."
