A Palestinian diplomat has said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is due to meet Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Jordan early next month as part of efforts to strengthen ties with Indonesia.President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's spokesman Dino Patti Djalal would not confirm details of the visit, but said earlier that Abbas wrote a letter seeking Indonesia's help in convincing the West to continue aid to his Hamas-led government.
Yudhoyono responded favorably, saying he would do what he could to help.
