The Chinese government has said that Chinese companies will sign contracts in Los Angeles on Thursday to purchases more than $4 billion worth of U.S. electronics, autos, software and other goods.
The signings, announced in a statement made available in Washington, come just a few weeks before Chinese President Hu Jintao meets with U.S. President George W. Bush at the White House.
Reuters reports that the biggest of the 27 deals is for $1 billion with Flextronics which helps automotive, industrial, medical and technology companies design and build electronics products.
