Goodnight from Sydney

Tonight's photo: Darling Harbour

I can not recall the last time - if in fact there ever was one, that I wrote a blog review.

A long time ago I decided that I would never criticise another person's blog, (OK, Dr Life was an exception as he misrepresented himself) as everyone writes for their own reason/s. Some may be good, others may be considered rubbish - but as far as I am concerned, I am not going to stress out over blogs I don't like.

Giving a blog a bouquet however is another matter. Yesterday I came across, There's No Art, a blog that is bright, refreshing and carries astute observations and perspectives.

Now to me, age is irrelevant - it's about as relevant as the word "experience" it tells me bugger all. Having said that, I will say the blog is written by a 17 year old high school student named Kelly.

Sadly it's a truism that populist media is all too fond of carrying teenage shock-horror stories aimed at provoking their target audience to rise up in horror and yell, "Disgusting innit like - wasn't like that in my day, oh no. Bloody good hiding is what they need, didn't do me any harm like did it, ya know", and other such remarks so beloved by the ignorant, the uninformed and the possessors of selective memory.

I enjoyed and thought about each post on Kelly's blog. Not because of curiosity value - but because they were carefully thought out and well worth reading.

Age shall not weary them - and lack of age does not equal lack of intelligence or vision.
