Tonight's photo: The monorail in Sydney
In last night's final post I wrote a blog review and I realised that perhaps I should make more mention of blogs that catch my eye.
I am not a blog reviewer, preferring to liken myself to amateur art critic who may not know a lot about art - but know what they like.
One of my long time favourites has been Devil's Advocate by Jin - someone who has become a good friend. OK, I may have a certain bias because of that connection, but I am not the sort to write about something I don't like - preferring instead to use diplomacy as a method of escape.
Jin's posts always have added dimensions and depth. Opening sentences tend to lasso the reader and pull them along until the end of the post. They are personal, sensitive and thought provoking.
Definitely worth a visit!

It always amazes me how people will react to a headline. Yesterday I posted an article entitled "US Ambassador and the Azerbaijan prostitute scandal".
About an hour later I looked at my blog stats and let out an audible cry of "Bloody Norah!"
The stats had skyrocketed and they continued to do so. At times I had over 60 people viewing the same article at the same time. In the 24 hours since I posted it, I received just short of a thousand hits. Of interest to me was the fact that many visitors were from US state government websites.
My mum is still waiting for men in black suits, whispering into their cufflinks to come and whisk me away!

I haven't been able to surf much today - not at all in fact, so tonight there is no candidate for the "That's a bloody good title" competition
Wherever you may be - be safe!
