Oil and Gas: Myanmar and Russia in oils for weapons deal

The Russian financial newspaper Kommersant, reports that Myanmar's government has agreed to allow Russia to share in exploiting oil fields in exchange for weapons.

Kommersant says Myanmar is seeking Russian help in developing an anti-aircraft system. The newspaper reports that the agreement came as the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, received his counterpart, Nyan Win. He described the two countries as brothers.
