The Sydney Morning Herald's, Column 8 feature, reports a conversation overheard at a petrol station in one of Sydney's more affluent suburbs.
A well-dressed older woman was filling up her big 4WD. She said to a fellow who appeared to be her partner: 'The worst thing about these high petrol prices is that now it takes so much longer to fill up the car'.
Having lived in that suburb, ( I wont mention the name in fear of having the Blue Rinse Mafia, set upon me with rolled up Gucci umbrellas) I can quite believe it!
