A high level South Korean Red Cross delegation, is to seek medical cooperation including exchange of human resources, with North Korea.
South Korean Red Cross President Han Wan-sang, accompanied by 40 people including heads of South Korean hospitals, will fly to Pyongyang on Tuesday for a five-day visit.
In an interview with local cable TV MBN, Chang Suk-jun, secretary-general of the Red Cross said, "Inter-Korean cooperation in the medical sector is necessary for the future of Koreans."
According to The Yonhap News, Han will send medical supplies and equipment worth more than $3.9 million to the DPRK during his trip.
