The Yemeni parliament has issued a statement denouncing what it terms the "oppressive Zionist-American" siege laid to the Palestinian people as a punishment for exercising their democratic right to choose their own representatives.The statement, issued under chairmanship of speaker Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein Al-Ahmar, also condemned the international silence towards such a siege and the Israeli occupation's atrocities against that people.The statement also asked the Arabs and Muslim peoples and governments to back the "heroic" Palestinian people regardless of pressures.
