Media: North Korea tops list of most censored countries

On the eve of World Press Freedom Day, the Committee to Protect Journalists, released a list of, "10 Most Censored Countries".

Not surprisingly, North Korea's state-controlled media came top of the list followed by Myanmar, where any hint of anti-government sentiment in the media is banned. Turkmenistan's president for life personally approves the front page every day of the major state-controlled daily newspapers, which always include his photo.

The other countries on the list are Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Eritrea, Cuba, Uzbekistan, Syria and Belarus.
