Security: US analytical center says Caucasus separatist forces operating at Russia's behest

AzerNEWS, reports that the influential US analytical center Stratfor, claims all the separatist forces in the South Caucasus region are operating at Russia's behest and Moscow may even sanction terrorist attacks on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline that will take Caspian oil to European markets.

The fact the multi-billion dollar pipe by-passes Russia further increases the threats of such attacks. The proximity of the BTC and the South Caucasus gas pipeline to Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh, an Azeri region under Armenian occupation, as well as the areas in Georgia with widespread separatism, increases the chances for subversive acts on oil facilities, despite tightened security measures there, Stratfor said.
