Economy: Russia's state debt falls to 2,992 billion roubles

The Prime Tass economic news agency reports that Russia’s state debt amounted to 2,991.986 billion roubles (US$110.57 billion) on April 1, which is 84.85 billion roubles less than on January 1, 2006. The figures were contained in a report of the Russian Finance Ministry prepared for the forthcoming government's meeting.

The same agency reports foreign debt dropped by 1.3 billion U.S. dollars in the first four months of the year to reach 74.182 billion U.S. dollars on April 1.
