Tonight's photo: Another in the series "Down our street" showcasing the delights' of the dynamic Sydney suburb of Lane Cove.
A suburb that has taken waiting forever in supermarket checkout queues while staff sit outside on the wall smoking, to new levels. A suburb where it appears compulsory for mums' to dress little girls in pink ballet outfits no matter what the weather - even if the ankle-biters are going to woodwork class. A suburb where having a poofy looking dog has become a status symbol.
Lane Cove, where it is de rigeur to let your kids run wild while you spend quality time with a cafe latte telling a friend, (who seems to be more important than your children), "I am so busy, I don't know where I am going to find the time to fit it all in," followed of course by a hearty "LOL".
A community that prides itself in being a classless society. In fact, it's hard to find any class at all.
Declaration of Interest: I am not receiving any pecuniary benefit from Lane Cove authorities for promoting the suburb. I do it out of the kindness of my heart.
Wherever you may be - be safe
