Twelve Chilean legislators are scheduled to meet with their Bolivian counterparts in La Paz, Bolivia, on June 11 and 12 for the first bilateral meeting between the two countries since diplomatic relations were broken off in 1978.
Legislators will discuss bilateral topics in the areas of energy cooperation, health, technology and education. Bolivia is also expected to push the issue of regaining maritime access to the Pacific Ocean via Chile, which it lost after the War of the Pacific in 1884.
