International Relations: Ghana apologises after World Cup player waves Israeli flag

The Ghanaian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has officially apologised after a Ghanaian national team player John Paintsil, waved an Israeli flag after the team's second goal against the Czech Republic. Paintsil plays for Hapoel Tel Aviv and wanted to pay tribute to Israeli fans by waving the flag.

The Palestine News Agency reports that Palestine Ambassador to Ghana, Sa'di al-Tmezi, said that the Ghanaian MOFA has circulated an official apology to all international diplomatic corps and human rights organisations working in Ghana, expressing apology for what one of its national team player had done.
