The leaders of nine central Asian nations will gather at the 2nd Summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia (CICMA) on June 17 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Thailand and Uzbekistan have confirmed their high-level participation. For the first time an observer state, Ukraine, will be represented.
The UN undersecretary and secretary general of the League of Arab States will also attend CICMA Summit. In addition, the vice premiers of Israel, Mongolia, Turkey and a special representative of the Indian Prime Minister are expected to take part.
