Law Suits: Coca-Cola faces Uzbek lawsuit

Coca-Cola is facing an arbitration claim seeking more than $100 million in damages. The claim alleges that the company conspired with the Uzbekistan government against a joint venture partner.

The Time's reports the partner, Mansur Maqsudi, alleges that Coke worked with the government to strip him of his majority share in Coke's bottling facility in Tashkent after Maqsudi fell out of favour with Uzbekistan's authoritarian leader.

The company says, "this allegation is categorically false."
