According to local media, Cuba has submitted a report on the situation of Cuban women to a UN special committee.
The document, written by the Cuban Women's Federation (FMC), will be debated by a UN Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women, in August.
FMC national committee member Celia Diaz Cantillo, said Cuba would discuss its Maternity Law, its mother and child care program and labor priorities on the UN forum.
