Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, is to visit Belarus on July 22-24. He was invited by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. According to a source at the foreign ministry, it will be the first time the Presidents of the two countries have met.Belarus and Venezuela maintain political contacts, mainly at the level of foreign ministers.
Trade between the two is almost non-existent. Up to April this year, there were no Belarus’ export to Venezuela while imports were only a few thousand dollars.
