Economy: Russia's trade surplus up 31.8%

Russia's central bank has reported the Russian trade surplus jumped 31.8 pct in May to $14.1 bln $10.7 bln in May 2005.

Exports jumped 33%to $27 bln, while imports grew 33.8% to $12.9 bln. In the first four months of 2006, the trade surplus had already surged 40.6% to $48.8 bln from $34.7 bln in the year before period.
