Arabic News reports the European Commission has announced a 20 million euro aid package for food assistance for Palestinians. "The deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories is a matter of great concern."EU Commissioner for External Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner in a statement, "This package, together with the aid that we are channelling via the International Temporary Mechanism, is designed to meet some of the basic needs of ordinary Palestinians caught up in the current crisis."
