Nuclear Energy: Reports China supplying Pakistan with raw material for reactor

According to Indian sources, Pakistan has recently bought graphite blocks from Chinese companies for the new heavy water reactor at Khushab.

It's reported that the director of the project, Tayyeb Mohammed Ali, has been visiting China regularly to negotiate with The Beijing Institute of Nuclear Engineering (BINE) and the China South West Aluminium Company.

Sources said India also suspects Pakistan is building their new reactor from material obtained from a North Korean 200 MW reactor, which had been dismantled after the framework agreement with the US in 1994.
