Animal Protection: Vietnamese police arrest man for stealing tiger

Thanhniennews.com, reports that Vietnamese police have arrested Friday Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, 23, for the illegal trading of a tiger gutted and stolen two months ago from a farm in a southern province.

Several others have already been arrested for buying the three-month old tiger for $11,250 in violation of state regulations governing rare animal protection.

Nguyen Ngoc Tuan and six others stole the cub from Dong Tam Snake Farm in Tien Giang province, poisoned and disembowelled the tiger, before transporting it to Dong Nai. It was discovered in a fridge in Ho Chi Minh City
