Construction: Overseas investors eyeing Iranian town

Swiss, Canadian and Turkish companies have expressed interest in investing in construction projects in the new town of Poolad-Shahr, Isfahan province, according to the project manager.

He told IRNA that foreign investments could expedite development work in the town as they help boost use of modern technologies in construction projects.

Poolad-Shahr's current population is estimated to be 100,000 people, and is expected to reach 500,000 in 10 years. Last year, more than 34,800 buildings were either completed or under construction in Poolad-Shahr.
