Peru's jailed former spy chief Vladimiro Montesinos, has been sentenced to six years in prison for defalcating government money to fund former President Alberto Fujimori's re-election campaign in 2000.The state news agency Andina reported on Saturday that the Superior Court announced Montesinos' sentence late Friday night after he was found guilty of embezzling some $1.2 million from the armed forces to fund the campaign.
He is already serving a 15-year sentence for multiple corruption charges and will serve the new sentence concurrently.
