Goodnight from Sydney

Tonight's photo: The sixth in the series "Homes and Gardens" (explained here). I picked this one especially for Omni who responded to last night's post.

A little bit of background info regarding the photo. The featured building is an apartment complex for the over-55s. It is at the very edge of the shopping plaza and protected by an electronic security gate that a three year old could jump over.

As for the flagpole, the building has been there about four years and there has never been a flag hoisted - thank God. The last thing we want to see here is every other house having a bloody flag flying in the front garden. Fortunately we are not big on flags - except to wave at the cricket and the footy.

On those occasions we stand proudly waving our national flag, our national pride displayed for all to see. Of course, not many of us would be able to afford to wave an Australian flag if they would be made here instead of China.

Wherever you may be - be safe!
