Dutch news agency ANP has reported that a survey conducted by Rotterdam-based recruitment consultancy Intelligence Group, shows the police service was the most favourite employer in the Netherlands, followed by electronics giant Philips and Anglo-Dutch oil firm Shell.
Apparently the police service owes its increased popularity to people with intermediate-level education. The popularity of the police among the higher educated remained unchanged despite the success of the "Master of Criminal Investigation" training.
Until May, Philips had long been the most favoured employer in the Netherlands.
