Security: Turkey intercepts two Iranian planes

MENL reports that Turkey has been searching Iranian cargo planes for weapons for Hizbullah.

Over the last month, Turkish authorities intercepted two Iranian planes bound for Syria. The Iranian planes were inspected for weapons for Hizbullah. No weapons were found.

"It was a routine procedure," Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan said.

Apparently the Turkish government had been told by Israeli and U.S. intelligence, that Iranian planes filled with rockets and equipment were entering Turkish air space on their way to Damascus.
