Banking: Iran slams US decision to ban the Iranian Bank Saderat as "childish"

Iran has said that a decision by the US to ban the Iranian Bank Saderat (Export) from having any direct or indirect ties with US financial institutions is "childish."

Foreign ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Assefi said, "This American decision is childish and unacceptable but will have no major impacts."

The US Treasury Department said Friday the bank was used to transfer funds to terrorist groups like Lebanon-based Hezbollah and Palestinian militants.

Odd, they never had any problem with the IRA receiving funds.
