Energy: China to invest in methane pits in Tibet

China plans to invest 16 million yuan in the building of 2,500 methane-generating pits in farming and pastoral areas in southwest China's Tibetan Autonomous Region.

China's Ministry of Agriculture has selected 50 professional technicians from adjacent Sichuan Province and northeast China's Liaoning Province to help with the development of the methane gas project.
