Goodnight from Sydney

Tonight's photo: Explained further on

First the bad news.

A post that took me half an hour to write has vanished into thin air and can not be recovered.

"Oh gosh," I said to myself and wondered what to do. Should I write the whole thing out again - even though it was rather complex, or shall I just forget about the whole thing?

I decided to take the easy road!

The good news is that my announcement of the death of my camera appears to have been premature. Yes, the LCD display is still shot to pieces, and parts of the camera are held together by sticky tape. But I discovered that the only thing stopping it from functioning was a faulty memory card.

Tonight's photos show the roundabout mentioned in last night's post. It gives some idea of the dangers faced by the little girl whose father left her to cross the road by herself.

The first photo shows a car turning left. A pedestrians view of that car would obscured by bushes and trees on the corner, (just out of picture). This driver signalled - many do not.

These photos were taken at a quiet time. The incident described in yesterday's post happened during peak hour traffic.

Wherever you may be - be safe!
