Middle East Conflict: Bush sends corporate dream team into Lebanon

George W. Bush has named a delegation of corporate leaders that will visit Lebanon to explore ways of helping the country rebuild.

The group, which includes Intel chairman Craig Barrett, Cisco chief executive John Chambers and Ray Irani of Occidental Petroleum, will also lead a public fundraising drive to help finance Lebanon's reconstruction, the White House said in a statement.

It said the aim of the campaign was to "demonstrate US private-sector support for Lebanon's reconstruction and development" by seeking individual and corporate donations for the rebuilding effort.

The statement added, "This effort will highlight the generosity of the American people."
