Security: Reports a U.S. man is facing terrorism charges in Vietnam

Yonhap news agency reports that a Vietnamese-born US citizen has been detained on suspicion of plotting to destroy the U.S. Consulate General and to overthrow the Vietnam government, according to state-run media.

The reports believed to have originated from Vietnam's security agencies could not be verified and a government spokesman did not immediately comment on the accusations. The man has been named as Cong Thanh Do, a 47-year-old computer engineer from San Jose, California.
