Steel: Worried Japanese ask China to reduce steel output

Yomiuri Shimbun, has reported that Japanese officials have asked China to cut its steel production capacity. The Japanese are worried thatChina's crude steel output, which has increased about 20 percent every year, may cause world steel prices to plunge.

Japan has asked China to eliminate small blast furnaces and offered environmental assistance with such a venture.
