Telecommunications: Arab world sees huge increase in cell phone usage

A study conducted by Madar Research Center shows that cell phone usage in the Arab world, increased 82 percent during 2005.

Bahrain registered the biggest increase with a 107 percent rise, followed by UAE with 96 percent.

The study also has shown that cell-phone memberships exceeded regular phone-line ones by large numbers in several Arab states.
