This is a follow up to my post of Sept 18. The health ministry in Chile, has won their battle to provide emergency contraceptive pills to minors without parental consent.
The fifth panel of the Santiago Appeals Court overturned a court ruling from last week that had temporarily blocked distribution of the "morning-after pill" pending the outcome of a lawsuit by groups that say parental approval should be a condition for distributing it to minors.
Earlier this month decreed that the emergency contraceptive would be available in public health clinics for free to women from the age of 14.
