Advertising: Thailand's ban on alcohol ads could cost $50 million annually

Witawat Jayapani, president of the Advertising Association of Thailand, has estimated that a plan by Thailand's interim government to impose a complete ban on alcohol advertisements in all media, will slash advertising revenue cutting profits by an estimated $50 million annually.

Mongkol Na Songkhla, interim Public Health Minister, expects the new law to be announced within two weeks and would come into effect once it is published in the Royal Gazette.
