Aviation: US State Department approves spare parts sale to Iran's national airline

AP reports that the Bush administration is to approve exports to Iran of spare parts and other equipment for the country's national airline.

State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters on Wednesday, "We do not want to be in a position of threatening civil aviation."

McCormack added, "the United States is focused on the pressing humanitarian concerns that affect the Iranian people."

Didn't worry too much about that in Iraq, did you old son.
