Human Resources Haitian police get money for nothing - courtesy of Canada

Canadian Press reports that according to a Haitian police officer, about 50 colleagues who were sent to Regina to be trained more than a decade ago continue to get paid for doing nothing.

Insp. Jean Fritz Magny says Canada spent $2 million to train the Haitians in 1994. However, in order to justify the money spent by Ottawa to train them, they are still getting paid around US$140 per month, even though they are not working.
