Pharmaceuticals: Poisoned medicine kills 21 in Panama

Prensa Latina reports that 21 people have died in Panama after the industrial chemical diethylenglycol, poisoned the expectorant antihistamine sugar-free syrup of 120 milligrams made by the Social Security Fund (SSB). The solvent is used for motor cooling.

The news agency reports that "Members of the Interior Ministry that has already begun an investigation last week visited the Laboratory last night to make an inspection".
