The Jerusalem Post reports that Israel's Foreign Ministry is promoting Gay Israel as part of a campaign to counter negative stereotypes many liberal Americans and Europeans have of Israel.Gay activist Michael Hamel is travelling in Europe and North America working on publicizing Gay Israel and told the newspaper that a portion of his work has the support of the Foreign Ministry. "We are working very closely with them," he added.
